“It doesn’t matter how genius our ideas are, the real magic lies in taking action”
“For every action, there is a reaction.” If you’ve studied physics, you are likely familiar with this concept. However, we aren’t diving in to the realm of physics today. This principle also resonate profoundly in our everyday lives. In simpler terms: every time we execute, we produce something. Regardless of the scale, every action leads to a result.
In this discussion, we will explore the crucial role of execution in achieving our goals.
Execution > Ideas
Ideas alone have no impact unless they are acted upon. And it doesn’t matter how many ideas we have or how genius they are, the magic lies in taking action.
So, if there is any result we are expecting to see, it is crucial to scrutinize our execution process.
Ideas with no plan are akin to pipe dream – the lack of fulfillment. What brings our dreams to reality is that connection(action) from our imaginative world to reality. And that connection is where one should focus on.
“It doesn’t matter how genius our ideas are, the real magic lies in taking action”
Let your results be your guide
Our results are a mirror of our actions. If we fail at the execution stage, the results will inevitably fall short – There’s no either or. The reverse is true.
“Result is directly proportional to execution”
Let your results be your guide. If you don’t like the returning force you are getting (newton’s third law of motion), apply more pressure on the performance. Do not run away once the results are poor. Facing reality and analyzing the execution process can uncover what went wrong. Running away from poor results won’t improve them nor will it magically change the outcome.
If work done is 25%, the reward will be 25%.
Now we know our focus point!
Summary
Here is what we have learned:
If we don’t like the results, we should change the action plan
Facing reality put a light on where we are performing and where we aren’t
Execution > genius ideas
As long as we execute, we will produce something. So the wise way is to push the action button.
